Joanne Whiterabbit is an enrolled member of the Ho-Chunk Nation and is currently the Executive Director of the Minnesota American Indian Chamber of Commerce. In this role, she provides leadership and support for economic development activities for all tribal entities in the State of Minnesota, and American Indian-owned businesses and non-profits. Under her leadership, MIACC launched major purchasing power initiative to credibly identify the collective power of the Minnesota Tribes and American Indian-owned business. The MAICC also hosts the Native Diversification Network – Procurement Technical Assistance Center for the Midwest and Eastern BIA regions.
Ms. Whiterabbit previously served as Vice President / Community Development for Woodlands National Bank and CRA Officer. Her banking management positions span 14 years and the primary focus was to establish and maintain business relationships with high value entities. During her career, she has been involved in multiple start-up organizations in Senior Management positions.
Joanne graduated from Augsburg College with a B.A. in Business Management. Throughout her career shehas been dedicated to serving the community through board and volunteer service. Her current board positions include: Mille Lacs Band Corporate Ventures (Member), Twelve Clans, Inc. (Treasurer), Indian Health Board (Treasurer and Land Development), Governor Dayton’s Diversity and Inclusion Commission (Member), Twin Cities Community Land Bank (Vice Chair), FAIR Product Initiative (Member), and Super Bowl 52 Host Advisory Committee (Member).
