Twelve Clans, Inc. is a federally chartered Section 17 corporation under the Indian Reorganization Act of 1934, wholly owned by the Ho-Chunk Nation of Wisconsin. Established to meet the growing demand for non-gaming employment opportunities, economic diversification, and innovative, sustainable infrastructure, Twelve Clans is focused on building a future that supports the Nation’s long-term prosperity.
Recognizing the importance of economic diversification, the Ho-Chunk Nation sought to expand beyond gaming, enhancing the Nation’s sovereignty and security while prioritizing the health and welfare of its people. In 2013, the Ho-Chunk Nation Legislature approved the creation of Twelve Clans, Inc. as a Section 17 corporation.
To empower Ho-Chunk Nation tribal members and native youth with livable, competitive wages, on-the-job training, career opportunities, and competitive benefits.
To reinvest profit from business operations to self-fund future Twelve Clans businesses, to create Twelve Clans' financial future, and to invest in the financial future of tribal members.
To structure corporate subsidiaries, capital investments, and entrepreneurial ability into diverse, competitive markets and industries on and off tribal lands that are commercially viable.
